2 Palestinians killed, many injured in ceasefire violations in Gaza
Two Palestinians, including a 5-year-old girl, were killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza despite the ceasefire agreement.
Nadia Mohammed al-Amoudi was killed and three people were wounded after the Israeli army shelled a horse cart late Monday west of the Nuseirat refugee camp.
In a separate incident, a Palestinian man was killed and several people wounded after Israeli forces bombed a bulldozer attempting to remove a vehicle stuck in Nuseirat.
The ceasefire, which has been active since Jan. 19, has seen more than 300,000 Palestinians return to the war-ravaged northern enclave to find widespread destruction.
Economist Mahir Tibaa reports that more than 80% of Gaza’s industrial and commercial infrastructure has been destroyed, severely affecting livelihoods.
The Israeli military continues its presence along the Philadelphi Corridor near Rafah, deeming areas within 700 metres of the border a “red zone.”
Rafah Mayor Ahmed al-Soufi called the situation “extremely dangerous,” even outside restricted areas.
In the West Bank, Israeli forces have intensified operations in Tulkarem, evicting families, besieging a hospital and blocking ambulances.

Israel’s genocide in Gaza has killed at least 47,317 Palestinians and wounded 111,494 since Oct. 7, 2023.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its genocide in Gaza.
