2 members of Iran’s paramilitary Basij force assassinated
TEHRAN, Iran (AA) – Two members of Iran’s Basij paramilitary militia were killed in the northern province of Mazandaran, local media reported Thursday.
The members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) force were shot in a “terror operation” in the city of Amul, the semi-official Fars News Agency reported, citing local officials.
No other details were provided.
The Basij is a paramilitary force that fights under the umbrella of the IRGC.
