17 more Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza Strip
ANKARA (AA) – At least 17 more Palestinians were killed and several others injured when Israeli airstrikes targeted a school and a tent sheltering displaced people in Gaza City and Khan Younis.
Medical sources at the Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis reported that they received the bodies of nine people killed in an Israeli attack on a tent sheltering displaced people.
Separately, seven more Palestinians were killed and others injured in an airstrike targeting the Fadi Al-Sabah School, being used as a shelter for displaced families on Yafa Street, east of Gaza City. The injured and the deceased were taken to Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital.
In Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, an airstrike targeted the Abu Jarad family’s home in Al-Manshiyya, killing one resident and injuring several others, medical sources reported.
Israel has continued its devastating genocidal offensive on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, killing over 43,500 Palestinians and rendering the enclave almost uninhabitable.
Several analysts say that the actual death toll, including those gone missing and those dying of starvation or infectious diseases, surpasses 3-4 times the current official death toll, that makes up 8-10 percent of the population of the battered territory.
Israel has been routinely targeting areas identified as safe zones, schools, hospitals, shelters, mosques.
