Islamic Development Bank to discuss resilience, sustainability
ISTANBUL (AA) – The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) will hold its annual meeting in Egypt’s Red Sea resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh from Wednesday.
The four-day meeting will start under the main theme of “Beyond Recovery: Resilience and Sustainability” and will be attended by ministers from 57 member countries and representatives of Islamic banks and financial institutions.
“The meeting will represent an opportunity to study and explore ways to further consolidate economic relations amongst IsDB member countries in today’s changing world,” the bank said.
Turkish Treasury and Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati, who had a videoconference last week with the bank’s President Muhammad Al Jasser, will also attend the meeting.
Several topics, including digitalization, climate finance and fintech will be discussed in the meeting.
