Hezbollah fighter killed in clash with Israeli forces on Lebanon border
BEIRUT (AA) – Lebanese resistance group Hezbollah said Wednesday that one of its members was killed in a clash with Israeli forces.
In a statement, the group said that the fighter was killed near the border between Lebanon and Israel.
Tensions have flared along the border between Lebanon and Israel amid exchanges of fire between Israeli forces and Hezbollah in the deadliest clashes since the two sides fought a full-scale war in 2006.
At least 101 Hezbollah fighters have been killed in clashes with Israeli forces since October 8, according to figures released by the group.
The border tension came amid the ongoing Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip following a cross-border attack by the Palestinian group Hamas on October 7.
